Can I get some printed material?
Yes. We will be happy to send you our printed brochure along with the current rate card. Please send us email, call us at 802-372-8722 or write to us. Do not forget to include your name and your complete address.

How long does it take to mow your lawn?
In 1959 it was suggested that we mow all of our fifty acres instead of leaving it as a hayfield. We still have not finished.

Do you stay open in the winter?
Yes, our restaurant is open in November and December on the weekends. During the week we are available for private parties. We operate a bed and breakfast in some of our winterized rooms throughout the winter. Our restaurant reopens on weekends in April barring any Vermont spring snowstorms.

How many rooms do you have?
We have twenty-three rooms, nineteen are lakeside and four are located in the middle of the property.

What kind of birds are living in your birdhouses?
The purple martins come back to shore acres every year. They help control our mosquito population.

Do you have a swimming pool?
We have the sixth largest outdoor fresh water swimming pool in the United States. Great Lake Champlain (at least for 2 weeks it was) is one hundred and twenty miles long, up to fourteen miles wide and at the deepest point it is four hundred feet. Shore Acres has one half mile of lakeshore.

What is the name of the tallest mountain we see outside?
The most prominent mountain you can see is Mount Mansfield. If you tilt your head to the right and study the features a person's face will appear; a forehead, nose and chin.
