Be your own wedding coordinator and plan the event on your own.

Before your outside wedding or event

A deposit of $1900.00 (this includes Vermont’s 9% tax) covers our land fee:

Shore Acres Land Rental Fee includes:

Electrical hook up to the tent. (Note that we have some limitations for electricity)
Facilitating of all guest parking.
Bar set up/ break down.
All tables and equipment associated with the bar.
Helping your vendors with instructions with the areas of set up and appropriate times for set up. We will discuss with the vendors electrical limitations, required catering needs for warming, cooling and cooking and other requirements for each vendor. (Before the wedding we will need a list of all your vendors and their telephone numbers.)

Due to our very unpredictable Vermont weather the rented tent must have sides.

Port-a-Lets will have to be rented based on the number of guests. We understand that the port-o-lets are not ideal but you can rest assured that the rented units are up to date and modern, some even with running water. (Unless you are ordering the complete trailer type port-o-let we suggest that the port-o-lets be tented and tucked to one side of the tent)

As we mentioned in our introduction your outside event can take place between 11:00 am and 9:30 pm. Last call for all drinks will take place at 9:00pm. (Vermont law requires that all events end by 10:00. We like to be excellent neighbors to all the surrounding residences so we are interested in keeping all parties happy with our closing hour)

During your wedding

Shore Acres will serve all the alcohol. We are partial to an open bar service which means that the wedding party pays for all alcohol. However we are flexible and if necessary we will provide a closed bar which means that the guests pay for their drinks.

We are flexible with the alcohol that is served: full service versus wine and beer.

Prices will depend on the kinds of wine, beer and liquor you decide to serve your guests. We charge $25.00 per hour for each bartender for the duration of the event. A 10% alcohol tax and a 10% service charge will be added to the alcohol served.

Vermont is very strict about their liquor laws therefore we are required to be strict also. Alcohol beverages other than those served by Shore Acres cannot be consumed in the public areas. This is a Vermont law and noncompliance of this law will force us to shut down the event.

Setting The Date and Contract

Please give Susan Tranby a call at 802 372-8722 or send an email. When a date is set, along with the deposit a contract will be signed by the Wedding Party and Shore Acres. The $1,900.00 deposit is refundable less a $250.00 cancellation charge if given a 4 month notice prior to the event.

Please note that Shore Acres cannot act as a middle man for any vendor payments. Our contract just involves the land rental and any of the above mentioned items.
